Tile roofs done right.
Concrete and clay tile installation and replacement for Texas-style and Spanish-style homes. 50+ year service life, premium materials, and the deck-structure diligence tile actually requires.
Three tile paths.
Each has trade-offs in cost, weight, and aesthetics. We'll walk you through which is right for your home and budget.
Concrete Tile
Cement-based tile in flat, low, or high-profile shapes. Cost-effective, available in dozens of colors and finishes, 50+ year service life.
Eagle, Boral, Westlake · ~10 lb / sq.ft profile
Clay Tile
Traditional terracotta and ceramic tile. Premium look and feel, exceptional durability, color baked-in not surface-applied.
Ludowici, MCA, Tejas · 8–12 lb / sq.ft
Stamped Metal Alternative
Steel or aluminum stamped to match tile profiles. Lighter (no deck reinforcement needed), faster install, lifetime warranty.
DECRA, Boral Steel · ~1.5 lb / sq.ft
The Detail Work
What we get right.
A bad tile install will cost you twice: once on the failed roof, once on the structural damage from the failed roof. These are the details we don't shortcut.
Deck Structure
Concrete tile weighs ~1,000 lbs per square (100 sq.ft). We verify framing capacity before quoting any tile install on a home not originally built for it.
Underlayment
Tile lifespan exceeds the underlayment beneath it. We use synthetic high-temp underlayment rated for 50+ years to match the tile.
Flashing
Lead and copper flashing at every penetration. Tile roofs aren't worth installing with cheap aluminum step flashing.
Walkability
Tile cracks under improper foot traffic. We use walk pads during install and maintenance access points where future service may be needed.

Tile Roofing FAQs.
How much does tile roofing cost in Central Texas?+
Tile is one of the more expensive roof systems but lasts 50+ years and resists hail and fire. Final cost depends on tile type (concrete vs clay vs stamped metal), roof complexity, and any deck reinforcement required for the tile weight. Request an on-site estimate for a written quote.
Will my house support tile?+
Maybe. Concrete tile weighs ~1,000 lb per 100 sq.ft. of roof. A typical 3,000 sq.ft home roof adds ~15 tons. We verify roof framing structure before quoting any tile install on a home not originally built for tile.
How long does a tile roof last?+
The tile itself lasts 50–100 years. The underlayment beneath typically needs replacement at 30–50 years even if the tile is fine, which is why proper synthetic underlayment is critical.
What about hail damage on tile?+
Concrete and clay tile resist hail well. Most events that destroy asphalt roofs cause minimal damage to tile. When damage does occur, individual tiles can be replaced without redoing the whole roof.
Can you match my existing tile?+
Most current production tiles, yes. Discontinued profiles can sometimes be matched from salvage or by sourcing from regional yards. If perfect match isn't possible, we'll show you the closest alternative before any work.
