Two Layers
Workmanship + Material.
Every Nine Line install gets both, written on paper, signed, handed to you at job close.
Layer One
15-Year Workmanship
Covers how the roof was installed by Nine Line. Issued and honored by us. Transferable one time to a future homeowner.
Layer Two
30–50 Year Material
Covers the shingles, underlayment, and other materials themselves. Issued by the manufacturer (GAF, Owens Corning, etc.). We register it for you.
Field Answers
Warranty questions.
Is the workmanship warranty transferable to the next owner?+
Yes. The 15-year workmanship warranty transfers one time to a subsequent homeowner. Notify us within 30 days of the sale.
What's the difference between workmanship and material warranty?+
Workmanship warranty (15 years from Nine Line Roofing) covers HOW the roof was installed. Material warranty (30–50 years from the manufacturer: GAF, Owens Corning, etc.) covers the shingles, underlayment, and other materials themselves. Both warranties are documented in writing at job completion.
Do I need to register the warranty?+
No. We issue the warranty as a signed document at the end of the install. Keep it with your home records. Manufacturer warranties may require registration, and we handle those filings for you when applicable.
How do I make a warranty claim?+
Call us at 512.882.1603 or email estimates@ninelineroofing.com. We'll schedule an inspection within 48 hours. If the issue falls under the workmanship warranty, we fix it at no cost.
What about repair work, is that warrantied?+
Yes. Targeted roof repairs carry a 2-year workmanship warranty on the area we worked on. (Full replacements get the longer 15-year warranty on the entire roof.)
A warranty is only as good as the company behind it.
